This is my Story

Hey! I am Mal (They/Them). Growing up in a small town, I often found myself sitting on the sidelines wondering why I wasn’t like everybody else. After struggling to feel like I genuinely belonged for most of my life, I decided it was time to break free from my limitations and step into the person I was always meant to be — confident and free to live the life I’ve always imagined.

After going through my top surgery in March of 2022, I felt the most comfortable I ever have in my life. I always say that top surgery was the most radical act of self-love I have ever given myself.

Although I received the chest I always envisioned, something I really struggled with during the pre and post experience was the lack of movement resources available. I wanted nothing more than community and guidance during this time but couldn't find anything.

My own top surgery experience gave me incentive to start an entire online business catered towards the unique needs of the queer community. Now I’ve turned my transformation into something that anyone can use to unlock their potential and start enjoying life like never before.

About My Top Surgery

On March 17th, 2022, I went through a double-incision top surgery. That surgery was the most radical act of self-love I’ve ever given myself, and honestly, my life has only gotten better since letting go of that extra weight on my chest (literally and emotionally).

One thing I struggled with throughout the process was the lack of movement resources available for people like us. It opened my eyes to how often folks go into surgery without the tools or support they need and how little focus there is on preparing the body for a smoother recovery. My own post-op experience was more difficult than it needed to be, simply because I wasn’t prepared. That’s what pushed me to take action and create the resource I wish I had.

There are very few resources out there on how to properly prepare and strengthen your body for gender-affirming top surgery. Surgeons and doctors rarely guide us on how to get physically ready for this procedure. Most of us are left to figure it out ourselves — scrolling through scattered information that’s hard to find and even harder to trust. That was definitely my experience.

Through my own journey, education, and lived experience, I created something I wish I had: a pre-top & post-op surgery movement guide designed specifically for our community. Something to support you through an already stressful and emotional time.
